I began my real estate career in 1959. In May 1961 I teamed with Ed Arnett and established the firm of Arnett & Broadbent. We decided to specialize in real estate investment brokerage. I formed Creative Solutions, Inc. in 1974 to facilitate some specialized activities including (teaching seminars & publishing). Through Arnett & Broadbent, Inc. we provided real estate brokerage and consulting services until late December of 2009. During almost five decades we steadily improved our record of inovation, marketing skills and state of the art techniques in client representation. The result was a remarkable list of "FIRSTS"

• First to develop a geographical capability, helping clients throughout California and in 15 other states (since the mid 1960's).
• First to make an exclusive commitment to a Single Agency practice (early 1970's).
• First to offer buyers exclusive representation (early 1970's).

- Charter CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Members) of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute. This is the top designation that can be earned in Commercial Investment Real Estate in America (1963).

- CPM (Certified Property Manager) The top national designation in professional property management (mid 60's).

- S.E.C. (Society of Exchange Counselors) The invitation only organization of the most creative real estate practitioners in the country (1962).

• First to develop the specialty of real estate exchanging (early 1960's).
• the ONLY firm to win state and national awards for their exchanges (mid 1960's & 1979).
• First to offer professional property management service (1963 to 1988, when we sold the management company).
